Thoughts

Thoughts encompass an “aim-oriented  flow of ideas and associations that can lead to a reality-oriented conclusion”.

Thoughts are of two types – positive and negative.

Positive thoughts

It is a mental attitude in which a person expects good and favourable results.Positive thoughts are productive and virtuous in nature while negative thoughts drain a person’s energy. Thinking positively involves looking at problems and recognizing realities, but at the same time being able to find solutions without being confused and experiencing feeling of powerlessness. Positive thoughts make one internally strong and as a result our expectations of others decrease.Positive thoughts are productive and virtuous in nature while negative thoughts drain a person’s energy. Thinking positively involves looking at problems and recognizing realities, but at the same time being able to find solutions without being confused and experiencing feeling of powerlessness. Positive thoughts make one internally strong and as a result our expectations of others decrease.

Negative thoughts

It is a thought process where people tend to find the worst in everything, or reduce their expectations by considering the worst possible scenarios.Negative thoughts are based on the five vices  primarily – lust, anger, greed, ego and attachment. They are chiefly caused by selfish and harmful reasons, without taking into account the values and inner qualities of the person. Negative thoughts not only harm us but have an impact on others also. These thoughts disturb our peace and weaken our inner strength. If these thoughts occur on a regular basis, they can cause health problems, both physical and mental. They can even become destructive.

Thoughts are biochemical impulses of energy and intelligence holding magnetic properties originating from cells. On an average, 36,000 – 60,000 thoughts originate in a human being every other day. 95% thoughts are repeated.

Reality is created by thoughts

Most of the thoughts are based on one’s past experiences. Those who have negative past experiences tend to have recurring negative thoughts and the rest of the coming events would be a like a mere repetition of the past. Likewise, those who have positive or favourable life experiences especially during childhood tend to have recurring positive thoughts and it results in repetition of happier and favourable events in life.

constant thoughts

Constant thoughts become the reality through constructive method. Electroencephalography or EEG is a test to find problems related to electrical activity of the brain. It tracks and records brain wave patterns. When you focus on a single thought most of the time, it becomes a reality through recurring nerve impulses and the resulting neurotransmission.

change in thoughts

Our sensory organs have the capability to generate 2 million thoughts in a second. The brain sorts these thoughts to mind in 136 bits per second. It  sorts only the programmed area of thoughts. This is the reason why people tend to think as a repetition of the past thoughts. A change in condition may cause a change in one’s thoughts too. Change your condition if it’s possible. Otherwise be the change you desire by changing your thoughts.

Think positively. Live happily.
